Can you merge a 2M+ FB page into a 1M+ FB page?

Hi,
I was wondering I’m trying to merge a 2M+ FB page into a 1M+ FB page.

I get the error of:
Pages Can’t Be Merged
An error has occurred while merging pages. This may be caused by your attempt to merge too many pages.

if you can merge big pages into small

Is there a work around this error message ?

Wish I could help, but it’s been two years since I’ve merged anything.
Facebook probably changed their rules 10x by now.

I had the same problem, the advice a friend gave me is to make same business owner to both pages, to make everything same on the pages, including all info, settings, name, cover photo, profile pic. etc… ( you get the point ), then to try to merge them again.

I do not guarantee since I have not tried this myself, but its worth the try!
