Did you notice deleted Google reviews pop back up few hours ago?

Noticed around 50-70% reviews 3+ weeks old come back up. This is from January. Some algorithm update.

Also spoke to few other agencies and all in the same boat

This is really bad news

I just got a few new clients who wanted to remove their Google reviews. We started working on them literally a few days ago… and now this happens.

Not only is the new service stopped, but even the old reviews we deleted before are coming back. Feels like terrible timing for me.

Reviews under 3 weeks are fine. The issue is with ones above 3+ weeks.

But one thing is for sure. Things like this can never be stable

And our thread we created a few weeks ago applies even more now:

If you are using services that may game the system, you have to be prepared to potentially lose. Game is game. Even if you didn’t game the system and honestly removed some neg reviews, nothing is stopping from the reviewer form posting again.

In my opinion, if nobody talk to you about the potential risks you can’t put the problem on the seller’s end. I had to refund tons of money cuz every single review was reverted.

If you KNOW the risks it’s very different. You think you’re hiring a professional service of online reputation management. Who in his own mind would hire a service knowing it will be reverted in a few weeks???

In 2023 I sold a Forbes service that later than a month was a failed service. Every single article I sold was deleted cuz @barrasa scammed me and I put the money out of my pocket to refund everyone. That’s the way to do it.

I understand your anger, and its amazing that you do that for your clients. But as the terms said (in your tickets):

In the very rare chance that a review reappears, I will attempt removal again at no additional cost, but cannot promise a second successful outcome.

Was it a rare event? I would say so. Review removals have been going on for a year. This is the first big blow to the market caused by big changes Google made.

Ok, but I’ve seen some people offering the service again. So there’s a potential solution for it and not letting the seller on their end

We’ve heard some users are able to get things done if the review isn’t older than X weeks, but I would personally stay clear of such services.

It would help immensely if we knew what that change was. Pointing to the “algorithm” without proof is damaging our relationships because it doesn’t seem official one bit.

I don’t work @ Google.

So if you had this proof, what exactly would you do? Are you suggesting every provider reverted the removals or something? Big change phrase was taken from the fact that 100’s of vendors everywhere all of a sudden had their work reverted.
