Facebook fan page link ban

Can anyone shed some light about page link bans? I got no notice but found an appeal form to use to see if my pages were included in the drop down menu. 3 of the 5 were. I appealed all 3 and got this response 3 times :

Hi Michelle,

Thanks for contacting us. We’ve reviewed your Page and confirmed that it still violates the Facebook Pages terms. As a result, the restriction remains on your page.

I got a 30 day ban last summer and was notified when it would lift. I’m worried since I got no notification, this is permanent. I was able to get a hold of a rep via chat and they opened a case and confirmed what I already know. She says she will attempt to find out if it’s permanent or temp.

Can anyone share some helpful info that has been through this link ban before?
thanks in advance ~Mish

Hi Misha,

Facebook has been banning a bunch of pages this past week. A couple of questions:

  1. Did you post a lot of 3rd party content?
  2. How many times a day did you post?
  3. What kind of content did you post?
  4. Would any of your content violate FB ad standards?

It seems they’re doing a major purge and a lot of page owners I know woke up and found their pages deleted with no notification. Wish you the best of luck.

My pages weren’t deleted. Just banned from links and that is ALL links.
Some of my links were my own website, some were amazon associate links and some were partner links with utm codes. My pages are all clean pages. Like DIY, fun (clean) recipes, crafts , travel.
I had a ban last summer but it was a 30 day ban done to my personal account AND to all my pages. This is not as bad but I just need a time frame on how long this usually lasts and if it’s permanent.
I am in touch with a FB rep and she is looking into it further but no word. She says it’s been turned over to a specialist. Today is day 7 of the ban. Only 3 of the 4 pages I own/ admin were hit. One page I just share local events on as it’s in my area.
My page that wasn’t hit is a niche page about owls. All those links are amazon associate links and attribution links. So thank goodness it’s still doing okay.
Reach is awesome tho on the banned pages on regular posts and words only posts. If the post contains a link, it’s restricted from the news feed.

thank u for responding!
