Facebook Link Clicks vs. Google Analytics Sessions

So I have a quick question I was hoping someone could help me with. I am noticing that a lot of posts on Facebook get a lot of “link clicks” on my pages to my website, but when I go to Google Analytics, the sessions are incredibly lower than the number of link clicks. Does anyone know why this is happening? I have a feeling it’s because I am directing traffic from Facebook, which is an HTTPS site, to my website, which is just a HTTP website. I don’t know if this is 100% the case, but I was hoping someone could verify why this is happening. Thank you all!

Hi there can be a few reasons. When you get a click for that click to be counted on analytics the user must land on that page. So it may be that your site is slow and while its loading most users will tend to leave that link before they actually see your page. So try improving your site speed and check if you site’s uptime is good and there are not server issues.
