No such thing as “semi-generic” I see this throw around all the time lol per M’s portals accounts are either claimable as non generic, or
not claimable because they are generic.

To claim a non-generic IG username that’s already taken, you can try contacting the current user, offering to purchase the username, or reporting an inactive account to IG. If your business name is trademarked, you can also file a trademark infringement report.
