Hi there,
I have a question that I need answering and can’t think of a better community of users to ask.
I have tried to make it as clear as possible, and welcome any and all opinions!
Home Wifi IP Address
I know that IG will limit your reach if you create more than 5 accounts on the same IP address.
I use my phone’s 4G network to post on my first 3 accounts. I then switch on airplane mode to rotate my IP, before signing in to my remaining 3 accounts and repeating the process. I switch at 3 accounts so that I don’t accidentally log in to the 6th account without rotating my IP.
Important context
I live in a house with 3 other people. They have one Instagram account each.
Actual Question:
If, in a rare case, I was using the home Wifi to operate my Instagram account and I forgot to switch to 4G before logging into my 4th Instagram account, would I be penalised? My maths is as follows:
Instagram only allows 5 logins per IP address.
I log in to my accounts in cycles of 3.
My two housemates have one IG account each (totaling 5 accounts on the home Wifi network).
If I forgot to turn off my Wifi and switch to 4G before logging in to the 4th account, there would effectively be 6 accounts on one IP address? Would this penalise me / limit my reach on my accounts?
