New idea for Swapd?

Hi,

I struggle with this a lot since I get a lot of messages, sometimes I want to search for a chat with a person but I can’t find it. Is it not a idea to get a ‘search’ for our messages. So when u put ‘@Zorro’ in the search that it will find all messages with that person?

Probably u guys already thought of it, but I think it will be very very helpful.

Idk about the groups, but a ‘search’ will fix already a lot.

Same, search for a name in messages would be really helpful, sorting would be nice too.

@/zorro in:personal or zorro in:personal - this is how you can search by a name.

same here

It’s still very poor filtering

@Brant I don’t think you are doing it right. It’s ALWAYS command first, keyword second.
So, for example: in:personal @randymarsh

It will show you EVERY PM from that user, nothing “poor” about it, @GOAT. However, I do agree that this design sucks. But you can send your complaints to discourse.org, who decided to go down this route.

In a few weeks, this will all be solved as chat will roll out, and it will be much easier to sort and find things there.

This will be available in Chat mode.

They both should be the same:

Honestly, I am searching for any chats I want from @/name in:personal

Weird, I get mixed results when I do that.

Any updates that this will come soon? @SWAPD

What will come soon? Did I miss something?

Can u implant a option like that?

As we’ve said before, when you type in:personal @username - You will find all messages by the user you want.

We’re currently working on SWAPD 3.0, once that’s completed we will revisit the idea to make it easier, I promise.
