Now many of the accounts that are disabled for explicit/sexual content are permanent, I have +20 friends with this problem, same for other types of bans, a lot of people who attack accounts are closing accounts for this type of bans (spam, TOS, etc.)
It appears that they are currently implementing various bans for testing purposes. Over the past few months, I have noticed new types of bans being enforced, some of which are unusual. Additionally, these bans are being reviewed by an âactualâ member. Despite consistently posting regular content without any major violations, I have still been affected by these bans. Also, It appears that if you make a new account after being banned, it is only a matter of time before it is disabled again. For that specific reason.
Yes, this is relatively new, I have some friends who when their account was deactivated asked them for a photo holding a sheet of paper with code and after a few 3-10 minutes it appeared that their account has been permanently deactivated and they say the same message as a âMember of our team took actionâ so I donât think that message is entirely honest
I know these bans are easy to unban with media portal, unfortunately I lost mine
I have personally recommended to my close friends temporarily deactivate their Instagram accounts bc as there are also many attacks that cause these âpermanentâ bans (not just impersonation)
A client of mine just got banned a few days ago in a similar way. Iâve never seen this before so also looking to see if anyone has more information or experience with this.
Mine is just a little different because itâs claiming it was banned because of a connected Facebook account that doesnât follow the rules. This is odd because the connected Facebook account in question works normally (did not get banned) and he canât find any violations on it or anything.
Finally in the email he got from IG about this ban, it says his account was banned for community guidelines / account integrity and authentic identity + claims in the email he should have the option to appeal ?
Again just looking for any insight or experience anyone might have related to this as Iâve never seen it before and not fully sure how to approach unban / if it is likely it could get banned again after recovery. The account in question had nearly 1M followers. Thank you
Edit: My client was most likely wrong and the facebook probably did get banned.
