I’m looking for insights from people experienced with Instagram account recovery and ownership issues.
I’m dealing with an Instagram account where the original creation email (OGE) was compromised and no longer belongs to me. Because of this, I’m stuck in a constant recovery loop.
Even after regaining access, changing the password, updating the email address, and enabling 2FA, the account can still be reclaimed by whoever controls the original creation email, either through security notifications or hacked account recovery flows.
This makes it extremely difficult to maintain stable access, since the OGE email continues to be treated as a trusted ownership signal.
Is there any legitimate way — such as escalation, ownership dispute, or an internal Instagram process — to remove or invalidate the original creation email (OGE) from an account?
I’m not looking for shortcuts or exploits, only a structural and legitimate solution when the OGE email has been compromised or is no longer accessible.
Any real-world experience or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
