Couple small ideas that may be of value
Account Health Checker Tool
A simple API that connects to platforms and provides a look at follower authenticity (percentage of fake/bot followers) and include any other engagement metrics seen as valuable.
This wouldn’t be too hard to set up and would likely add trust for any “curious” non-users or first time account buyers.
Asset Valuation Calculator
Similar to the tool above, a visible high-to-low estimate the value of a social media account based on engagement, niche, and even past marketplace data from SWAPD’s comparable sales.
For example, if an account is listed for $500, the tool would be showing green for lower (a good deal) and red for (high) vs past sales/similar. This could work for domains, businesses, and building it is prob easy with so many valuation calculators out there.
In theory, a “price” low to high x green to red scale, would make sellers price competitively and motivate buyers with visible “good deal” indicators.
Simpler Service-for-Service Trades
SWAPD has a lot of talent across a lot of niches, but doing a service-for-service exchanges isn’t very clear imo. For example, I’m skilled in email marketing but a beginner in social media growth so I’ve done trade deals exchanging these skills, but the process is a bit confusing— ok, who pays, what about splitting fees, or how does the trade work. Some ppl have actually asked if trading could get them banned not knowing if it was allowed at all.
Could be just a niche problem but making this process clearer and easier may encourage trades, and even better, highlighting it as a category could attract more talented marketers who have something cool to contribute.
Lead Magnet Section
Usually for my sites, offering freebies is the #1 driver of traffic, and while SWAPD has a free help or giveaways section, it’s sparse, likely due to a lack of a real incentive. Encouraging people to post valuable free tips, services, or better - free downloads could act as a big user generated lead magnet to attract a lot of targeted visitors. Ofc, non-members would need to sign in or like, comment, etc to access the download x increase signups.
Imo incentivizing this with rewards like ad space or auto bumps for high-performing posts or “helpfulness” ratings could energize a free resource section. Most other communities use some value/vote point systems and give users rewards.
Hope some of these help
