Recently, a method involving Business Manager and a new Meta tool called Brand Rights Protection (BRP) started getting abused.
The tool is supposed to protect brands… but some people used it in a harmful way to attack other people’s accounts
The result?
- Posts getting removed for no real reason
- Copyright strikes hitting accounts and pages
- And in many cases… full account removals
You can see this in the large number of Instagram “copyright” accounts that were affected by this wave and ended up being disabled
What’s the actual problem?
The tool gives strong reporting power.
So, when someone submits a report:
- It gets processed quickly
- Sometimes automatically
- And your account takes unsolvable hit before you even react
Here’s a quick tutorial on how to handle this
how to recover your posts and remove strikes:
- Check your email

You should receive a message about the violation.
Inside it, you’ll usually find:
Report / Case Number
This is VERY important.
- Submit an appeal (the right way)
Use the official Meta forms:
Facebook:
Instagram:
- What to write in your appeal

Keep it simple and clear:
- Mention the Report Number
- Say that the claim is false or abusive (if that’s your case)
- Ask for a manual review
- Don’t rush or spam

Avoid:
- Sending too many appeals randomly
- Using “bypass” or unofficial methods
