yes, it could take months (or the process might get stuck forever), I had the same happen with one of the accounts, you gotta be really precise during the 1st submission
I have submitted my verification the same way you instructed, and waiting almost for a week. What should I do if nothing happens? Is there any way to contact support and not stuck forever?
If you submitted all the steps correctly at the first try, it should have gone through instantly. This means that Telegram failed to check or probably some links were broken. Give it 3 weeks or so and try again.
If the bot says “You have already submitted a request for this username”, then the process is stuck… unfortunately not much to do other than waiting and trying again.
