The only website I do this on a niche news website, harder to get penalized, monetizable with raptive, mediavine. When they got slammed, rinse and repeat.
Or, you can also get a private PBN with some offshore hosting, and you can run it for a long time and boost your main website through tier 2, tier 3 backlinks.
I don’t recommend someone’s main brand website.

It’s too early to tell, really. Organic traffic depends on things you can’t control, and it is fine as it’s part of the game. In your case, I can say by experience that it’s risky on a level 1 website (if the buyer cares about their domain name). It’s not about the content being good or bad.

So far all websites that we have ran this one haven’t received any penalties. I just started the service for a new client a week ago and he got his first organic sale today already :) Results can vary depending on the niche, but none of the websites have gotten any negative results since I started the service.
