Cleaning of SWAPD Part 2142! We've made some category changes!

To align with our 2025 Clean the SWAMP promise, today we’ve made significant changes to our category list. There are too many to list, but here are some significant ones:

  1. We’ve moved the PR section out of the Unique Services category into its own dedicated category! And we moved that category high on the list. Since PR does so well on SWAPD (just ask our #1 seller, @lunar), we figured it deserved its own space.
  2. We want to revive our dead Influence category! So, starting now, that category is open to the public! You no longer need to be a VIP/Premium member to sell there—anyone can sell! And before you complain, “Why did I buy Premium then?” please remember that Premium Membership entitles you to sell shoutouts there WITHOUT a checkout ticket, provided you don’t guarantee any tangible growth. There are also many other Premium perks not associated with that category.
  3. We’ve moved the Knowledge Base all the way to the top, hoping new members will find it easier to get answers.
  4. Unique Services – We removed business leads from there (moved to Established Businesses), and we moved out Service > Other (to its own dedicated category) and Web Content & Creation (again, to its own category).
  5. To review/spruce up the Web Content & Creation category, we’re now allowing it to be seen on the home page. Additionally, we no longer place limits on link-building and SEO services. All those services are business/money-making related, which is what SWAPD is all about.
  6. The Reputation Repair category got a huge bump—almost at the top. Why? Because it’s a HOT selling item that is VERY useful to companies and individuals alike.
  7. We deleted the Non-English Domains category and moved all topics to the mother category.
  8. We removed the Lounge category—it was dead, no one was using it.
  9. We removed the SWAPD Partners category. Our partners did not want to list there, so what’s the point of keeping it? However, we kept the SWAPD Portal category for requests (but we’ve moved it way down).
  10. We renamed SWAPD News to Industry News to avoid confusion with our internal Site News & Feedback category.

We’ve also tweaked some of the category colors—nothing major, so y’all don’t get confused!

These changes are NOT stopping here. In the upcoming days, the Unique Services section will go through a purge, and listings that don’t belong there will be moved to Services > Other. In addition, we may create additional categories soon (but we’ll hold off on announcing that for now).
