Description: My family has been running a brick and mortar flooring store since the 70s and I decided to expand into online sales to compete with other online retailers. It went exceptionally well, our traffic is now all organic from SEO and we are consistently getting inquiries through email and sales.
In full transparency, the biggest difficulty in this is the shipping of products (mainly tile). As far as vinyl, hardwood, accessories etc. go it’s very simple and we have a shipping partner we use and then we usually transfer the products to our brick and mortar store and ship together, or for smaller orders we ship direct from our supplier. But because tile is so fragile it gets difficult to ship small orders of 1-2 boxes.
