Restricted Industries – Prohibition on FIAT Payments
To comply with financial partner requirements and international risk management standards, SWAPD (operated by VEYYO Limited Partnership, Canada, as Merchant of Record) strictly prohibits the use of FIAT payment methods (including but not limited to bank transfers, credit cards, and other government-issued currency channels) for transactions connected to the following industries:
- Gambling and Betting
- Alcohol Sales or Promotion
- Drugs or Controlled Substances (including legally regulated products such as cannabis, CBD, or similar derivatives)
Scope of Prohibition
-
Users may not send or receive FIAT payments for any service, listing, or transaction tied to these categories.
-
This prohibition applies both to direct services (e.g., sales, promotions, listings) and to indirect or supporting services, such as:
- Social media recovery or restore access
- Account verifications or boosts
- Advertising campaigns, content creation, or placement
- Consulting, strategy, or advisory work connected to these industries
Even if a business is fully licensed and lawful in the user’s jurisdiction, the nature of the industry reference itself (e.g., a profile bio labeled “Licensed Cannabis Dispensary”) is sufficient to trigger audits and compliance reviews by our financial partners.
Consequences of Violation
Any attempt to process restricted-industry transactions via FIAT channels will result in:
- Immediate rejection of the payment and cancellation of the ticket.
- Suspension of the user’s FIAT payment privileges on SWAPD.
- Potential permanent remove from accessing SWAPD’s regulated FIAT infrastructure.
Permitted Alternatives
Users engaged in restricted-industry transactions must use cryptocurrency payments (USDC, USDT, BTC, ETH, SOL) as the sole permitted settlement method. These are processed outside of our regulated FIAT channels and remain available for such use.
Binding Policy
This policy is non-negotiable, applies to all users, transactions, and services, and forms an integral part of SWAPD’s compliance obligations as Merchant of Record. Users uncertain about whether a specific service falls under a restricted category must contact SWAPD staff before initiating the transaction.
