Instagram Shadowban: Have been dead for some months

It’s no secret that Instagram has made changes to their Shadowban policy, and that no one has the ability to fix them. The real question is, when do you think that will end? Will it be similar to IG Permabans, whereas no one could unban Permabanned accounts for some months, and then eventually one day came and now people are able to unban them almost instantly. Will the same happen with Shadowbans? Is it just a matter of time before they’re able to be fixed again?

When I speak of Shadowban, I’m not referring to What Can’t Be Recommended… as in most cases, those violations can be fixed on your own. I’m referring to a REAL Shadowban, whereas the account is performing great for months… gaining thousands of followers a day, and then one day all that stops, and the account starts losing followers everyday, and account no longer can be found in hashtags, and can only be found in search when every letter of the username is typed. I know a few people with clients with these type of shadowbans, and they haven’t been able to get them corrected for months… and the same applies to me, I have 2 clients with this type of shadowban… and I’ve inquired with the best of the best, and none of them have been able to fix it.

It’s one thing to claim you can fix it, but actually being able to do it is another.

I’m glad you’re speaking up and saying “what can’t be recommended” isn’t “shadowban removal” so many guys scamming for the last year with that BS to people

Some shadowbans have expiration dates, and some do not. I think the solution to this would be to create a similar account, cross-promote it, and stop posting what got you shadowbanned in the first place.

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but you don’t have to post something specifically to be shadowbanned. If an account gets mass reported by multiple accounts, and none of the posts go against the guidelines… rather then removing the posts, or disabling the account… they will shadowban the account, hiding it from users… as they feel a large amount of users were not happy with seeing whatever was on the account, and is why it was mass reported. So in other words, you can be fully in compliance with the Guidelines/Standards of Instagram… and still be shadowbanned.

Thankfully they’ve made updates to their policy, and people are able to fix them again.
