We’ve had this conversation before. Whether we should keep things loose and human here, or switch to the ultra professional corporate style most platforms use. Wanted to revisit it and get a fresh read from the community.
I’ll speak for myself, not everyone on staff.
I like being myself. If someone is rude to me or to others, I am not going to sit there smiling like a robot. That is just not how I operate.
BUT
I also understand that sometimes this more relaxed and unfiltered style might be a bit much for new users who are used to more polished support.
Quick example. We work with various third party providers behind the scenes. Not naming anyone, but talking to some of them feels like talking to AI. No jokes, no personality, and if you say anything slightly outside the script, it is treated like a problem. Personally I cannot stand that kind of interaction.
So what do you guys actually prefer?
Do we keep things as they are. Human, direct, sometimes blunt.
Or do we move toward a more corporate always neutral approach like PayPal.
Genuinely curious where you stand.
- Stay real
