Over the last month, I’ve been seeing an extreme increase in permanent Instagram/Facebook business account removals under the reason “Account Integrity.”
This is no longer isolated cases. It’s spreading like a virus across businesses and personal profiles alike.
The biggest issue seems to be account association detection. Shared devices, shared phone numbers, shared IPs, or even employees using the same workplace devices are causing unrelated accounts to get permanently disabled as “linked accounts.”
In many cases:
A single colleague’s fake or previously restricted account can trigger removals across legitimate business accounts.
Support or appeal accounts used during recovery attempts are sometimes also flagged as related and disabled.
Even when accounts are reopened, preventing re-disables has become increasingly difficult due to how aggressive the automated systems are behaving.
What’s even more concerning is that some real personal profiles are getting rejected despite:
Matching real name/surname
Matching profile face/photos
Successful ID submission
Face verification attempts
Some appeals are being instantly rejected without proper human review, even when the identity evidence is completely legitimate.
I currently have a massive backlog of cases because the volume has exploded recently. The most frustrating part is that Meta’s internal review process does not seem to be treating this issue with the seriousness it deserves.
At this point, it genuinely feels like a large-scale integrity system failure rather than isolated enforcement mistakes.
Is anyone else here experiencing the same wave of “Account Integrity” disables recently?
Yes, this started in early 2026 and it’s still getting worse. I’ve had several accounts locked. I’ve asked a few people to unlock them, but they only stay locked for a few days before locking again. I’m waiting for the situation to stabilize.
One of my clients had their personal Instagram account disabled. Their profile picture clearly shows their face, and their full name is completely accurate. They appealed the decision, but Instagram responded by claiming that they are not the person shown on the account.
This issue has now gotten completely out of hand. The number of affected users is growing rapidly, yet Meta (Facebook and Instagram) has done virtually nothing to address or correct the situation.
Many people who try to recover their accounts through paid services end up getting banned again.
I’ve been dealing with these kinds of cases for over 10 years, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen anything this absurd and poorly handled before.
