Since we have opened our registration to the public, we are already seeing an influx of people who try to take advantage of our buyers by circumventing our security measures. It came to our attention that one seller doctored his stats in order to make them look better. Due to the nature of some social platforms (IG/SC), verifying if the stats are real is very difficult, as it would require that we hold these accounts for a few days. So, starting today, platforms that include analytics only within the app (Instagram/SnapChat) will require extra verification.
Upon checkout, we will ask sellers to:
- Use the record screen feature (build into Android/iOS) and record themselves navigating to the app, then to the demographic stats.
- Upload the screen captured video to the ticket.
This will only be required during checkout, providing snapshots to potential inquiring buyers is still OK.
P.S. We learn as we go along, and the entire SWAPD staff is dedicated to improving this service. We act quickly to any threats and we will do everything we can to keep all transactions as safe as possible. The buyer who fell victim of these doctored screenshots will be refunded today.
