Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to the Account Center
Visit: Log into FB
Click on “Contact Info”.
- Add a New Contact Method
Under “Add ne contact”, input a phone number or email address you currently have access to.
- Wait for the Trust Period
Allow 2–3 weeks for the newly added contact information to be recognized by FB as trusted. This is a crucial step, as it enables additional verification options later.
- Return to the Account Center
After the 2–3 week trust period, revisit: Log into FB
- Select the Phone Number to Remove
Locate the phone number previously confirmed via SMS and click “Delete number”.
- Confirm Deletion
In the confirmation window, click “Delete”.
- Use an Alternative Verification Method
Due to the waiting period, FB should now present the option to “Try another way” for verification.
- Select a Trusted Contact
