Some US Users May Currently Be Unable to Access SWAPD (Mainly in California)

We are aware that some members may currently be unable to access SWAPD. This issue is affecting users whose internet provider or device uses Quad9 protected DNS.

Quad9 has temporarily blocked the SWAPD domain after an automated threat intelligence system called MalDomainML incorrectly classified it as being associated with malware. MalDomainML uses machine learning and DNS activity to automatically identify suspicious domains. This does not mean malware was actually discovered on SWAPD, and we have found no evidence that our website, servers, or member accounts have been compromised.

We have already contacted the relevant providers to request the evidence behind the classification and have the false positive removed. We are working to restore normal access as quickly as possible.

SWAPD remains online and operational. Members who are not using Quad9 should continue to access the website normally. We will provide another update once the incorrect classification has been removed.

Thank you for your patience.
