There is a way in Swapd to verify whether the recipient has viewed your sent message

Take a look at the columns highlighted in this screenshot, in the list of messages you’ve sent

.
If the message you sent hasn’t been read, it will only show one view (yours).
eg: this one was sent 6minutes ago and was not seen

If the message you sent was read, it will mark two views
eg: this message was sent 2 days ago, and it was seen by the recipient
