This is the reference article for SWAPD 50/50. It is deliberately detailed. If you want the short version, read the programme page instead. If you are trying to work out why a specific number in your panel looks the way it does, you are in the right place.

1. What SWAPD 50/50 is

SWAPD 50/50 is SWAPD’s referral programme. You introduce someone to SWAPD, they register through something you shared, and when they complete a qualifying transaction you receive a share of the service fee SWAPD earned on it.

Three points define the programme:

Your commission comes from our fee, not from the customer. SWAPD charges a service fee on transactions it processes. Your commission is calculated as a percentage of that fee. Nobody pays extra because they arrived through you.

It is a promotional reward, not a sales commission. You are not selling anything on SWAPD’s behalf. You are not required to trade, list, or transact yourself to take part.

It is paid on completed transactions only. Visits, clicks, signups and verifications are all visible in your panel, but none of them generate money on their own.

2. Eligibility and cost

Taking part is free. There is no tier to buy and no application to pass.

You need a SWAPD account in good standing. An account that is silenced, suspended or under review may be unable to create new sharing tools or request payouts until that is resolved.

You cannot refer yourself, and you cannot purchase your own Offer. Attempts to create circular or self referring arrangements are not eligible and may be removed from your recorded activity.

3. Terms used in this article

Term Meaning
Partner A member taking part in SWAPD 50/50. Partners are independent referrers.
Partner Panel Your dashboard for the programme, where every tool and report lives.
Attribution The link between a registered member and the Partner credited for introducing them.
Qualifying transaction A completed transaction that meets the programme’s eligibility rules, including the amount threshold.
Eligible service fee The portion of SWAPD’s fee on a transaction that commission is calculated from.
Available Commission you can request a payout against right now.
Held Commission recorded but not yet payable, usually pending review or clearance.
Reserved Funds set aside against a payout request you have already submitted.

4. How commission is calculated

Commission is a percentage of the eligible SWAPD service fee, not a percentage of the transaction value. This is the single most common misunderstanding, so it is worth stating plainly.

The sequence is:

  1. A transaction completes through SWAPD.
  2. SWAPD records its applicable service fee on that transaction.
  3. Your commission rate is applied to the eligible portion of that fee.
  4. The resulting amount is recorded against your account.

Worked example

A member you introduced sells an asset for 2,000 USD. SWAPD’s eligible service fee on that transaction is 10%, so 200 USD. At a 50% commission rate your share is 100 USD.

A different member you introduced completes a 100,000 USD transaction. The eligible service fee at that size is 6%, so 6,000 USD. At a 50% rate your share is 3,000 USD.

Both figures are illustrations. Fee percentages vary by transaction size and category. The fee calculator shown on a listing is always the authority on what fee applies.

Transactions that do not qualify

Transactions below 351 USD may appear in your tracked activity without being eligible for payout. A 350.99 USD transaction is below the threshold. A 351 USD transaction meets the amount threshold, subject to all other eligibility rules.

You will still see these transactions listed. They simply do not contribute to your balance.

5. Commission rates

Your rate depends on when the member you introduced registered, and on whether both sides of a transaction were referred.

Situation Rate
They registered before the programme went live 25% of the applicable SWAPD service fee, for life
They registered on or after the programme went live 50% for the first 12 months from their first successful transaction, then 25% for life
Both transaction participants were referred 25% to each side’s referrer, including when that is the same person on both sides

Two things worth reading twice:

The 50% rate is an introductory rate. It runs for 12 months starting from that member’s first successful transaction, not from the day they registered and not from the day you shared your link. After that period it becomes 25% for life.

The both sides case replaces the introductory rate. When both participants in a transaction came through referrals, each side’s referrer receives 25%. This does not stack with the 50% introductory rate, and it applies even when the same Partner introduced both people.

Importing historical referrals does not reset a cohort. Registration date determines the standard commission cohort, so bringing an older referral into the programme does not make it new.

6. The three sharing tools

Your Partner Panel offers three tools. They are independent of each other. Creating an Offer does not place it on your Showcase, and a Showcase follower is not a referral.

6.1 Links

A Link is a short SWAPD address that records a visit and forwards the visitor to a SWAPD destination you selected.

Creating one

  1. Open the Links section of your Partner Panel.
  2. Give it a Name for your own reference, such as “Instagram bio” or “November newsletter”.
  3. Choose the destination: the forum home, or an eligible public SWAPD topic.
  4. Optionally set a custom address under /r/, for example /r/mynewsletter.
  5. Save, then copy the address and share it.

Custom address rules

Addresses accept 3 to 64 characters, using letters, numbers, hyphens or underscores. Spaces are converted to hyphens. The address must be available, and availability is checked when you save.

An existing address cannot be renamed. This is deliberate: anything you have already shared keeps working forever. If you want a different address, create an additional Link.

Editing and archiving

You can change a Link’s name and destination at any time. Archiving a Link stops it being used going forward while keeping its history and any earnings already recorded. Archived Links can be restored using the status action on the item. There is no permanent delete.

On “cloaked” links

A SWAPD Link is sometimes described as a cloaked or branded referral link, because you share a clean SWAPD address rather than a long tracking URL. Be clear about what that does and does not mean. It does not make you anonymous. It does not hide the referrer from SWAPD. It does not bypass a visitor’s browser privacy protections. It does not guarantee attribution. There is no cloak setting and no custom domain feature.

A Link under /r/ performs a redirect. An Offer address under /referral-offers/ does not redirect: it opens the Offer page itself. They are different things.

6.2 Offers

An Offer is a standalone page for one specific thing you are offering, with its own address.

Creating one

  1. Open the Offers section of your Partner Panel.
  2. Enter the Offer title and the description. The composer supports formatted text, so describe the deliverable properly.
  3. Enter the price in USD, select the proposed payment method, and choose the correct offering category.
  4. Save, then copy the generated /referral-offers/ address and share it.

What a buyer experiences

A guest sees an option to join SWAPD to start checkout, and creates or activates an account first. An existing member sees a direct start checkout action. An eligible request opens a private checkout proposal through SWAPD’s ticket system. If a proposal already exists, the action takes them to it rather than creating a second one. Repeated clicks are not intended to generate duplicate proposals.

Identity verification above 1,000 USD

For transactions over 1,000 USD, the buyer is asked to verify their identity at https://swapd.co/ID before checkout continues. Their request waits until verification is complete, and resumes when the verification badge is granted. Exactly 1,000 USD does not cross this threshold.

Seller verification, account eligibility, payment eligibility and unchanged offer terms all continue to apply independently of this.

This buyer verification threshold is not related to the 351 USD commission eligibility threshold. They are separate rules with separate purposes.

Important: changing an Offer that someone is waiting on

If you edit an Offer while a buyer has a pending request, that buyer must review the current terms and choose to start checkout again. A change never silently rewrites terms that have already been accepted on a ticket. An archived Offer cannot begin a new checkout.

What an Offer is not

Creating and selling your own Offer is not the same as earning referral commission. Commission still depends on eligible attribution and on the programme rules. A checkout request is a proposal submitted for review, not an automatic payment and not an acceptance of transaction terms.

6.3 Showcase

A Showcase is one public page carrying your profile, a welcome message and public listings you select.

  1. Open the Showcase section of your Partner Panel.
  2. Write your welcome message.
  3. Choose which available profile information to display. Your avatar and username come from your SWAPD profile; there is no separate profile editor here.
  4. Select your own eligible public sales listings and arrange their order.
  5. Enable Published and save.
  6. Share your page at /@yourusername.

Private or restricted topics cannot appear on a public Showcase. The listing selector is limited to the configured sales categories and to listings that are still available.

You can edit the message, the visibility options and the listing selection at any time. Unpublishing hides the public page without deleting your configuration.

Contact and chat actions on your Showcase follow normal account access rules, and your existing profile privacy settings continue to apply. Following is a social action and does not create referral attribution.

7. How attribution works

Attribution is what connects a new member to you. It is separate from commission eligibility, and both have to succeed for you to earn.

The window is 30 days. When someone opens your Link, Offer or Showcase, a tracking cookie records it. That cookie gives a 30 day window for them to register.

Browser behaviour affects it. Private browsing modes, tracking protection, cookie clearing and extensions can all prevent a visit being recorded. This is outside SWAPD’s control.

Tracking does not follow a person across devices. If someone opens your link on a phone and then registers on a laptop, that registration may not be attributed.

An existing member is not a new signup. If the person already has a SWAPD account, opening your link does not convert them into your referral.

Attribution is not transferred. If somebody was already attributed to another Partner, sharing your link later does not move them to you. Repeatedly sending new links does not overwrite an existing attribution.

Registration attribution and commission eligibility are two separate gates. Someone can be attributed to you and still produce no commission, for example if their transaction falls below the amount threshold.

8. Reading your reports

Your Partner Panel has a section for each stage of the funnel.

Section What it shows
Overview Headline figures and quick access to everything else
Links and Offers Per item performance, edit actions and share addresses
Referrals Members attributed to you, their verification status and activity
Transactions Tracked deals with commission eligibility and status
Earnings Earnings history and trend over time
Payouts Available funds, payout requests and payout history

Dates are in UTC. The presets and the From and Through fields all operate in UTC, not your local timezone. A deal that happened late in your evening may appear on the following day.

A date filter does not change your balance. This catches people out regularly. Changing the period changes what the charts and tables cover. It does not change what you currently hold. Balances are a present state; reports are a period view.

Daily figures reveal the numbers behind a chart. If a chart shape looks wrong, open the daily data and read the actual values rather than interpreting the curve.

Treat referring site data as indicative. Where the panel shows top referring sites, browser privacy settings frequently leave a visit’s source unknown, and a site total is not a guarantee that those specific visits were individually attributed to you.

9. Understanding your balances

State Meaning
Available Commission you can request a payout against right now
Held Recorded but not yet payable, pending review or clearance. Staff may need to resolve missing or conflicting transaction or fee evidence
Reserved for payout Removed from available funds while a payout request is pending
Paid An administrator has recorded a completed manual payout with a payment reference
Lifetime earned Cumulative recorded earnings, subject to adjustments

Requesting a payout does not reduce your lifetime earned figure. Lifetime earned is a record of what you have earned, not a measure of what remains.

Your Balance and autobump wallet is a separate system from referral earnings and payout reservations. Funds do not move automatically between them.

10. Requesting a payout

  1. Hold at least 100 USD in available funds. Held and reserved amounts do not count toward this minimum.
  2. Open the Payouts section and choose Request payout.
  3. The funds are reserved and administrators are notified to review the request.
  4. Staff arrange and send the payment manually.
  5. The panel shows the payout as paid once an administrator records it with a payment reference.

You can have one pending request at a time.

If a request is cancelled or fails, the reservation returns to your available funds, subject to account and commission review.

Paid status is a staff confirmation. The system does not independently detect bank or cryptocurrency transfers, which is why a payout is only marked paid when a human records it. We do not publish a guaranteed processing time.

11. Notifications

The settings section of your Partner Panel lets you enable notifications for new signups and for earnings, or disable all programme notifications.

These are delivered as notifications inside SWAPD. Email delivery depends on site wide email settings and is not guaranteed by this programme.

Payout requests generate notifications to administrators, not to you.

12. Troubleshooting

Someone clicked my link but nothing appeared. A visit is not a registration. Check whether they actually created a new account, whether they already had one, and bear in mind that browser privacy settings may have prevented the visit being recorded at all.

They registered but are not listed under Referrals. Most often one of: they already had a SWAPD account, they registered more than 30 days after opening your link, they were already attributed to another Partner, or they opened the link on a different device from the one they registered on.

A transaction appears but shows no commission. Check the amount first. Below 351 USD it is visible but not eligible. If it is above the threshold, it may still be held pending review.

My commission is stuck on held. Held means it is awaiting review or clearance. Staff may be resolving missing or conflicting transaction or fee evidence. It moves to available once that is settled.

My buyer’s checkout is waiting. If the transaction is over 1,000 USD, the buyer must verify their identity before it continues. It resumes automatically once the verification badge is granted. Nothing is continuously polling in the background; the request simply responds when that status changes.

My buyer says the offer changed and they have to start again. That is correct behaviour. Editing an Offer requires any waiting buyer to review the current terms and start checkout again, so that a change cannot rewrite accepted terms.

I want to rename my custom address. Existing addresses are permanent, so that previously shared links never break. Create an additional Link to obtain a different address.

I changed the date filter and my balance did not move. Working as intended. Filters change the reporting period, not your current holdings.

A private topic will not appear on my Showcase. A Showcase is public, so it can only display topics that are already public. The selector is also restricted to the configured sales categories and to available listings.

Does a Showcase follower count as a referral? No. Following is a social action with no attribution effect.

13. Promotion rules and compliance

You are an independent promotional participant. That status carries obligations.

Use accurate claims. Do not promise outcomes, guaranteed earnings, guaranteed payouts or instant settlement. Do not present illustrative figures as expected returns.

Disclose your referral relationship where the platform you are posting on, or the law that applies to you, requires it.

Do not represent yourself as SWAPD staff, and do not present yourself as the contracting merchant, simply because you created or shared a page.

Do not describe referral links as anonymous or privacy defeating. They are branded short addresses, nothing more.

Follow the SWAPD Terms of Service. Accounts promoting the programme through spam, misrepresentation or prohibited channels may have activity removed and participation withdrawn.

14. Getting help

If something in your panel does not match this article, contact support at support@swapd.co with the specific item, the date range you were viewing, and what you expected to see.

For questions about fees on a particular transaction, the fee calculator on the listing is authoritative, not this article.

“SWAPD Partners,” “Partner Panel” and related uses of “partner” are branding terms for SWAPD’s referral programme. Participants are independent referrers; participation does not make them partners in VEYYO Limited Partnership or create any legal partnership, joint venture, employment, agency or merchant relationship with SWAPD. Participation grants no ownership interest in SWAPD or VEYYO Limited Partnership and no authority to bind either entity, enter into agreements on their behalf or represent themselves as SWAPD staff. Referral commissions are payable only under the applicable programme terms. These provisions do not alter any separate contractual relationship a participant may have with SWAPD as a fulfilment subcontractor.
