Hey SWAPDers!
It’s been a hot minute since we dropped one of these digest-style updates. So grab a cold drink, kick back, and let’s run through some random thoughts, warnings, and juicy news.
2025 Summer Slowdown – It’s Here (Again)
From January to May, SWAPD was on fire.
Traffic skyrocketed — some countries saw a 110% boost — and Google showed us love with a 30% ranking bump. For a while, it felt like we couldn’t miss. Open checkouts hovered around 500 constantly.
But now? June hit. And with it, the familiar summer slowdown. People are out living life, touching grass, and sales tickets are down roughly 50% in just three weeks.
Meta’s recent shakeups haven’t helped either — they’ve slashed what sellers can offer, so yeah… bit of a double whammy. But don’t panic — slowdowns like this happen every year. We’re adjusting and planning to bounce back stronger.
Canada Move: Almost There
We’ve been talking about it forever, but it’s finally happening: SWAPD is moving to Canada.
It’s been six months in the making, thanks to lovely things like slow government processes, legal hurdles, and notaries who live on vacation. But the finish line is in sight — we expect to wrap this up by June or July.
What’s this mean for you?
MoR System Incoming (Maybe)
If things go according to plan, SWAPD will switch from an Escrow model to a Merchant of Record (MoR) setup. This is a massive change. Here’s what it could bring:
- We’d invoice buyers directly and fully legally.
- We’d treat sellers as contractors — cleaning up legal grey areas.
- More payment options (hello, Stripe!)
- Direct crypto payments without middlemen.
- Ultimately: We’d become the most legally compliant platform in our small industry.
But let’s not jinx it — this is still pending, and the legal stuff is a moving target. If/when it happens, expect a bit of chaos in July as we rebuild the backend to make it all work.
Evil SWAPD is Real (Sort Of)
This one’s wild: We’re licensing the SWAPD software to a company in China.
They’re building a new platform that’s like SWAPD… but with the gloves off.
- No ID checks
- No grace periods
- Crypto-only
- No post-transaction protection
- Anything goes (yes, even the forbidden stuff like SMM panels, software, gaming, lookups, mass DMs, etc.)
We’re calling it SWAPD2 (not the real name, though) — think of it as “Evil SWAPD”.
It’s hosted far from Western regulations, and while we’re not directly managing it, the team has our trust. Will it compete with us? Maybe. But it’s targeting a totally different crowd, think of it as OGUsers but actually ran by trusted individuals.
So don’t panic — SWAPD Classic isn’t going anywhere.
What’s Hot Right Now?
Here’s what’s trending on the platform:
- Instagram unbans
- Reputation repair (like link removals, etc.)
If you’re looking to get into something profitable, these are still the top dogs. Here are the latest SWAPD searches, use this data to get an idea what is hot or not. As you see, the #1 most browsed category is our Buyer Requests. Smart sellers use it to nab new clients, and combined with our SpyTool, good sellers are able to get new biz with ease.
AI Upgrades in the Works
Yep, we’re building AI agents to help with the boring stuff — mainly speeding up checkout ticket processing. We’re also cooking up tools that’ll help buyers evaluate social assets before they buy. Can’t say more yet, but know that some real tech magic is brewing behind the scenes.
TL;DR
- Summer slowdown is real, but expected.
- SWAPD’s Canada move is almost done.
- MoR system could revolutionize how we operate (legally and financially).
- A Chinese company is cloning SWAPD (with our software and blessing).
- AI upgrades are on the way.
- Unbans + reputation services still dominate.
More to come soon — until then, enjoy the summer and stay safe out there!
