SWAPD is Now Fully Transgender-Friendly — Thanks to SumSub!
We’re thrilled to announce a major update that reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusivity, respect, and equal access for all.
Starting June 24, thanks to our continued partnership with SumSub, SWAPD will officially support KYC documents with the “X” gender designation.
What does this mean?
It means that individuals who do not identify strictly as male or female can now complete the identity verification process without hurdles. Whether you’re non-binary, genderqueer, or identify outside the traditional binary, we see you—and we’ve got you covered. The old ID process was quite cumbersome for some of our members who requested this (thanks to @woody, @azk and @aves for pushing us to get this done).
This is more than a checkbox. It’s a meaningful step forward toward making our community truly global and welcoming for everyone—no matter how they identify.
Why the Change?
Because it’s 2025. And honestly, it’s about time.
As platforms evolve, so must the systems behind them. With SumSub updating their compliance tools to recognize the “X” gender marker, we’re proud to say SWAPD isn’t just keeping up—we’re leading by example.
