SWAPD Security Update: Trustap and Stripe Fraud Protection

Scammers, listen up. Today we stopped our first Trustap scam attempt before it got anywhere. And thanks to our partnership with Trustap, we now have a weapon that makes it much harder for fraudsters to operate.

Here is how it works. If someone tries to scam through a Trustap transaction on SWAPD, we can permanently mark that Trustap account as fraudulent. Because Trustap uses Stripe to handle all payments, that fraud flag does not just stay on Trustap. It follows the scammer straight into Stripe’s system. Stripe powers payments for millions of businesses worldwide, so once that profile is marked, it is a lasting stain that follows their real identity wherever Stripe is used.

This is huge for our community. In the past, a scammer could spin up new accounts and keep trying until they got lucky. Now, if they get caught on SWAPD through Trustap, they are not only banned here. Their verified payment identity is damaged in a way that actually matters outside our platform. It is not just an account remove, it is a permanent strike on their payment record.

For buyers, this means another strong layer of protection. If something feels off during a Trustap deal, let us know and we can act fast. For Subcontractos, it means fewer bad actors slipping through the cracks, and more confidence in closing safe transactions. For scammers, it means the game is over before it starts.

So let this serve as a reminder. If you plan to pull a fast one on SWAPD via Trustap, do not. You will not only get caught, you will torch your own payment profile on a network half the world relies on. That is a terrible trade.

SWAPD will keep doubling down on safety. With tools like this, we are making it harder and harder for fraudsters to find any angle.
