I like the idea, but I personally think it’s too monotone/excess/busy.

For the record, I already submitted this concept above. If you like the idea, I would provide full color options and design files. I didn’t feel it was necessary to provide all color options upfront since the concept is what’s important.
If chosen and you agree, I’m happy to split with @Rep because he’s a very nice guy and does great work, and perhaps he can handle the delivery.
If you don’t agree, I don’t really mind. Just looking forward to seeing it reverted back to or close to the OG

I would personally be disappointed to see @GOAT design win. Although simple, it doesn’t look very creative or much thought was given to it other than “OG” aspect. The point of this contest was to find something “new” not just combine the two concepts that was to be changed.

No, the purpose was not to find something totally new and different. It was to replace the design @mae did. A majority of members do not like what he did. Usually, the best logos / concepts are very simple and align with the brand. In Swapd’s case, they have admins and agents, so it’s important for the staff to stand out vs other members and also reflect some authority. This is why the OG was good. But it’s also redundant, so just using the icon is definitely best / most professional & trustworthy.
I don’t care if that’s what the rules say. That’s not the point and Swapd would likely agree. He’s looking for an icon that him, the staff, and a majority of the users like. And if it’s ~ the same, that’s fine. Sometimes, all it takes is a minor tweak to greatly improve something in design. I.e. if you tweak an icon’s size by a few pixels, it could make a huge difference. So if he likes a specific concept that’s submitted, he won’t let his ego get in the way and not use it just because it’s similar to the old one.
You’re being too literal with what he wrote.
It’s not useless. He’d like to spark some creativity. That was likely his reasoning for writing it. But if something is similar and he likes it better than unique designs and the OG/new one, he’s not going to decline to use it just because of that rule.
Any logical person would agree. 
All we can do is share our logos and let ADMINS decide, you can’t force them to use your designs
