Time for drastic changes on SWAPD. We encourage you to join this discussion and help staff make the right decisions. MAKE SWAPD GREAT AGAIN!

accept debit card/credit card payments. i know a handful of people that have given up on this site due to the lack of knowlege of sending and purchasing crypto payments here in the USA because of the regulations the banks put on us, or even how long it takes to be able to have the crypto clear to even be able to send.

We have credit cards.

My thoughts are complete.

  1. I think requiring payment for listings across all categories would substantially improve quality for both buyers and sellers. Quality sellers can handle volume; need less noise.

  2. Tipping would also improve seller quality. Sellers would be more motivated to complete services quickly and at a higher standard. It would also encourage regular users to put more effort into providing value where needed.

  3. Remove direct chat. It’s always been useless for me personally. I think DM’s are better.

  4. A 5th ad space called “Staff pick” where you feature popular / trending services. This would help buyers discover listings that are doing well, which is a win / win for buyers, sellers, and the platform.

100% agree, i think since it has been integrating all I have gotten was maybe 200 unsolicited messages of people pitching their accounts or services

Chat stays, but we can limit it (for example) to Trust level 1 or 2 so new members aren’t able to use it.

Yeah that would help, majority of the messages I get are from Indian users - no transactions whatsoever

Alright, we will consider it. The problem is, Trust Level 1 is not easy to get, disabling chat for new members would also disable our help bot for them which ppl use (yes could get around that but need devs), and a few other problems I don’t feel like writing about.

I will look into spam sensitivity first.

Done! Let’s try this approach first:

Not everyone realizes it yet, but these changes are necessary. No premium marketplace can survive while being flooded with spam, fake expertise, and race-to-the-bottom pricing from people who often can’t even deliver what they promise.

Higher standards don’t kill a platform, they protect it. Less noise, more trust, better business.

I didn’t read through the comments. But your main post is full of good stuff. Glad you’re being active on the pain points.

Very annoying things, from a buyer perspective:

Sellers be putting 95% SR and in reality failing 99.9% of the time.

Sellers that say ANYTHING can be done but decline so much ■■■■ in DM’s. Just a waste of time for everyone.

Sellers that say GUARANTEED DELIVERY but couldn’t deliver water in the ocean.

Sellers putting X price in their listing, without stating “starts from,” and then you don’t wanna deal with them again because they’re quoting 3-5x the price in dm.

Sellers not willing to starts tickets, until they complete a job, to save their reputation.

And finally, sellers who are online every 5 min but literally don’t respond to DM’s yet still bump their posts daily.

MAKE SWAPD GREAT AGAIN.

Facts, these are far more egregious issues needing to be fixed on Swapd. Far more destructive and annoying than the nigerian guys who you can literally just ignore.

The purge of services is coming, don’t worry.

So what would be the criteria for filtering out Nigerians who are the “trouble base” of the community

Too many users comment in post asking for PM and then don’t respond the PM. Wasters time.

OK, I have to say I’m starting to see fewer spam topics with “expert” in the title, and you can trust me bro DMs.
