Unable to access my Instagram account

Hello,

I’m writing because I’m unable to access my Instagram account even though it is not disabled

I simply forgot my password and no longer have access to the email address and phone number that were originally linked to the account, so I cannot receive recovery codes. The account was created around 2016. There are photos of my face on the profile. I’ve tried the standard recovery flows multiple times, but I’m stuck in a loop where I’m only asked to use old contact details I no longer have access to, and I’m never offered identity verification like video selfie. The wifi connection or mobile network and I device that I had access more than 20 days ago is the same one I am trying to log in, I tried clearing the cache, I tried logging in via incognito browser, trying to recover the account via Instagram help support but it always sends me to the same loop.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as my Instagram account is too important and I have made so many unsuccessful attempts making the situation frustrating. Thank u in advance

Hi this is a common Instagram recovery loop when the old email/phone is no longer accessible.

The only official way out of that loop is to trigger the identity verification (video selfie) flow, but it only appears under specific conditions:

Try recovery from the Instagram mobile app only (not browser), on the same device + IP you used before.

On login → “Forgot password?” → “Need more help?” → choose “I don’t have access to this email/phone” → keep repeating until the video selfie option appears (sometimes it takes 24–48h or several attempts).

If the account has clear photos of your face, the selfie verification usually works.

If the selfie option never appears, the only remaining path is contacting Meta through a Facebook Business Manager support ticket (even a free ad account sometimes unlocks chat/email support).

Unfortunately there’s no magic shortcut instagram only restores accounts this way now.
