We're thinking about easing ID verifications, but we will only do it after discussing it with you!

@SWAPD Honestly it will make sense if only buyers are allowed to buy services here without the ID verification. Also their should be a policy that says buyers without ID aren’t allowed for No prepayment tickets. All tickets must be paid before starting work.
At least the sellers can always be safe too.
But all sellers must be ID verified.

This will also help the growth of Swapd.

Because they all are sellers!

Not going to lie when i joined i literally thought the only scam going on was swapd trying to scam me for my id and profiles etc. I sat on the side lines for ages and only joined because i thought i will be a seller and was broke so thought aint much you could do to me anyways.

Turns out to be totally legit. I’ve also told people to join this website and more often then not people are like no way I’m giving out my ID to join a website so i leave them at it.

I also don’t understand why crypto is not accepted for a new member? Even the guys with the community safety badge are restricted to bank transfer? Surely there would be more issues with a bank transfer than a un reversible crypto transaction that they cant claim back.

I also think they should be able to start a ticket if they are a buyer.

Swapd has competition? Didn’t knew that

Unverified users for crypto transactions only. Otherwise you need to say good bye to all your bank accounts.

because it could get messy with time wasters

I’d verification must be for both the parties because we are paying here using crypto which can’t be reversed and few services once sold cannot be reversed too.

Everyone is saying no for unverified sellers. But what’s the actual concern if everything is in Escrow? Not saying you’re right or wrong, but no one has articulated what the concern is. Genuinely curious.

Gives an extra feeling of protection and more trust cause I’m a wuss

Some sellers can sell a account to you and hack it back. Lol then disappear. Knowing fully well that they can’t be caught because they don’t have an identity here.

Do you want to know how many times I’m scammed on Swapd by sellers pulling accounts back?

I do. :joy:

@pkm I swear you got ADHD next level cause there is no way you’re this annoying

That’s what I said- For new sellers some payment methods must be restricted but unfortunately method like Paypal no more exists. One can easily take advantage of scamming through existing methods if id verification will be eased.

Great answers. What if unverified sellers are restricted from selling in certain categories, such as accounts. That’s really the only area where Escrow wouldn’t protect long-term IMO, which makes sense. But a blanket ban doesn’t make much sense otherwise, unless there’s more types of transactions that pose similar long-term risks

Make it the next OGU?

Selling a strong NO. Already ridden with sellers who can’t fulfil their services.

Transactions at OGU weren’t escrowed, were they? I agree that unverified sellers should not be able to sell accounts due to risks of them taking it back, but I don’t see what risks there are with other categories. There would def be some tickets with time wasters as @Media alluded to, but that’s where common sense kicks in. If you’re concerned with potentially wasting time, only work with reputable sellers IMO

I can tell you right now. If I was some random browsing user and stumbled on to SWAPD, I would never, in a million years, give my ID. That is, until I hung around here and saw that it was OK. However, I wouldn’t hang around because what’s the point without giving me ID right away?

That’s my whole point about this thing.
