It’s looking like it’s almost random.
Friends of mine with 5+ million on YouTube have been declined, while tiny accounts with no press got verified. It’s crazy, some people get it, others aren’t.
There were several accounts that applied as esports organizations that got it with no press
Also multiple small teams esports managers got it took small account of a Fortnite map got verified, the guy said it was likely because his main was already verified, he applied as a brand but never got the option to put press

It’s all about what type of account you are. Esports and gaming is very social media-focused. Some accounts get verified just for having an official gaming website. Players for these organizations can in some cases get verified just by being listed on the gaming website, or having a player profile on it.
Entrepreneurs, brands, public figures etc are still evaluated against some tough criteria. There are different queues for the different types of accounts. Each of these queues have different requirements.

It still hasn’t opened up for me to submit on my profile. I wonder how many weeks I’ll have to wait to be able to submit…
I’m sure there are specific account-level requirements you need to meet before the form becomes available to you. I have the form available on some of my accounts (even the verified ones), while some others don’t have it. All created by me, in the same country.
While I haven’t confirmed this, I think you need to fully complete your profile (including adding a phone number, login verification etc).
My account is verified with 8 days after i send the links and only with 40 followers

Then you need author profile on high rank news site not a small site only indepnded news site author profile work and have your few article publish

The requirements for journalist are higher than other fields like musician,influencer,etc. especially with how it was used politically.
What are the requirements for seeing the verification submission tab? It doesn’t even give me an option to submit yet. I made my Twitter account in 2018 and have a fully filled out profile and over 1,500 followers.
The not cansider contributor profile like forbes etc the requier National indepnded news paper author profile
