I thought I share my thoughts with you guys. It may or may not help you go through times like today.
There is good and bad news.
#bad news - It will hit the economy and change how companies spend their money.
#good news - It won’t hit you as hard as you think as long you keep the winning mindset. 90% of the swapd members, me included, are selling Marketing Services.
Will clients spend less money on marketing? The answer is yes and no.
#Yes, the decision-making process will change. You’re more likely to get a „not now“ as an answer.
#No, money still moves. Money never stops moving. It just moves into directions that make the most sense for companies due to scarcity.
Recession is, for most companies, a mental state rather than a real pain in the ass. Of course, there are heavily affected companies. But that’s just 20%.
How you can benefit from this.
Change the way you communicate and deliver.

Make sure your client understands that if they work with you, they get more than they are paying you. Be a great deal to work with.

Save Money offers. Have services that help your clients spend less but are still able to maintain or exceed their marketing fundamentals.

Cashflow is king. A 30k paycheck is still possible, and a client will always spend that. However, secure your Cashflow before going hunting the sharks. Offer low-entry retainer. Keep the clients close to you even if they pay you 500-1000/m. By this, you‘ll always be able to:
#A, secure your Cashflow and move forward.
#B, upselling the clients.
Make sure you sprint through the next 1-2 years. Marathon is a excuse. As Michael Jordan‘s Coach once said
