A few of my friends have been on the receiving end of a targeted attack. Their Twitter accounts plus their business’ account have all been suspended without reason. Literally ZERO communication from Twitter explaining the suspension reasoning. There is nothing my friends could find in the terms of service that would be a violation. All accounts were suspended on the same day and have been suspended for at least 5 weeks with no relief in sight. Their Twitter accounts all had one thing in common and that is they would promote their small startup company they are building. None of their accounts have ever been flagged, each account is at least 3 years old, and each account had normal tweet activity. Ironically when one them tried to create a new account, well, that account was suspended within 48 hours. This could be due to Twitter’s ban/suspension evasion policy or the suspect targeted the new account.

There is a conspiracy that they might know who the suspect is behind this attack. (Not on a personal level but rather known via social media.) However there is not much proof, and pursuing to prove the conspiracy as true would take too much time away from their startup business needs.
-
Is it possible that the suspect has a connection with a Twitter employee to specifically target my friends’ accounts?
-
Is it possible that a Twitter employee suspended these accounts just because the employee didn’t like the accounts?
-
Is it possible that a false DMCA claim was filed by the suspect? (This is something that has plagued musicians/artists for many years on the site. Submit a false DMCA claim to get the victim to doxx themself.)

Is it worth pursuing legal help to put pressure on Twitter to provide communication on the suspension reasoning? (My friends don’t have the money to spend on a legal team since they are already strictly budgeted to grow their startup.)
Their Twitter accounts are essential to marketing their business. Since the accounts were suspended, they have seen a decline in traffic to their website. There is no need to pursue a service that claims it can un-suspend their accounts because they fear using a 3rd party service would be a severe violation of Twitter’s terms of service and negatively effect their accounts.
I am looking for some advice to help my friends get their accounts unsuspended once and for all.
Contacting a specific Twitter department?
My friends are stuck between a rock and a hard place with literally no idea what their next move should be. They need advice and they need it fast!
