Are IG verifications being put on hold?

Hey

I process IG Verifications using different media partners including SMM here.

Two of my media partners received a memo stating IG verifications were being halted till the US elections were over (November). I had a Facebook Verification come through today so I know Facebook is working. The memo is regarding IG specifically.

This may seem strange but they did the exact same thing during the Indian elections and Italian elections but that was restricted to those specific countries. This restriction could be more widespread.

Has anyone had an IG verification come through in the last 24 hours? Or heard anything about this?

I’ve had one request go through in the last 24 hours. They seem selective on dealing with the requests though, as some of my requests have been halted for weeks…

That’s good to know. If any others go through, do let me know. If they are halting verifications, need to alter my business model.

Did they say that this goes for both internal submissions and submissions through portals? The one that went through for me was US based.

This was for all IG verifications; specifically portal submissions.

Get yesterday last ig verified and for today have other 3 to submit, and also this morning get another one, but on Facebook, verified

They didn’t get any notification related to this things

I can confirm. Something has DEFINITELY changed.

Can’t comment on if its temporary or if it applies to all accounts.

However, off site I have submitted some profiles that should have been verified but didn’t.

Even @SMM would confirm something has changed as we have had difficulties in verifying some cases off site.

Let me disagree, nothing was changed :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: all depend on who going to get submitted, only based on their requirements! We still get verified / rejected people’ without issues, on a standard 2/3 daily submission

Can’t except to get verified people who have press from 5RR and with 10/20 DA. For everyone always need good media sources and solid background as well. Can have lucky 2/3 times, but not for everyone

Yeah thats the difference. DA80+ x 10 articles still gets rejected.

I submitted a few days back 20 articles all DA80+ including some well known magazine + Wikipedia, still rejected. :smiley:

I won’t stay everything has stopped.

I would say something has changed.

Earlier 4 of 5 cases would pass. Now maybe 1 of 5.

Feel free to send me on dm who you get rejected and will explain my feedback. But again / anyway. Nothing was changed. IG verification won’t be even guaranteed 100%, we’re doing that since 2015/16 and always get verified or rejected people who have good press. Same story
