Selling hacked pages can have adverse affects if not known to the average buyer. i.e. someone has 50 pages on FB with millions of followers; they buy a page which they think is legitimate, but it’s hacked, it gets reported, and then all of a sudden their whole profile gets banned because they’re associated with a hacked page. It’s happened to me before and cost me tens of thousands of dollars.

I’m all for him selling a hacked/imposter page and I’m glad Swapd is benefiting from signups, but 1) it’s not allowed per the terms here and 2) if it was, he should give proper disclosures. Zero people on this forum would disagree with that.

Pretty sure it’s a fanpage that has duped people into thinking it’s a famous person. AKA, just about every other social media page.

If you have definitive proof of this being a hacked page, then send it to staff. Barring that, this is too much yapping over @gireeshtty9’s hourly wage of $500.

Correct, that’s why proper disclosures are needed. It says on Facebook “Welcome to the Official Facebook page of Alejandro Garnacho” which is misleading, because it’s not the official page. So no, I wouldn’t say it’s “Obvious” to the average buyer.
