Changing Youtube-Alias: Will verified badge stay?

Got a Youtube Channel which was verified when it was still possible the easy way without having 100k+ subs.

The channel hat no unique handle before and got its Alias automatically.

will I loose the badge when changing that?

Anybody knows?

Update:

You can change the Alias without loosing the verification badge.

Youtube also updated their FAQs.

I just changed my handle/alias and the verification badge sticked.
