Fake Musician Unverified Wave (8/25/22)

I just posted - confirmed that others are losing badges that aren’t fake music. But they got verified another shady way.

I paid an employee to do something similar many years ago in 2015-2016, the 4 pages I verified through him are still standing today with badges but I suppose Facebook is a little different than IG.

I think these are different times. Lot of people are high profile. Boasting they are getting people verified. Investigations happening.

The action is taken for recently verified acs like 1 or 2 years. Coz this badge business grop up huge in last 2 years. 4 yrs ago it’s not easy to get verified for anyone. Now you just need to push artists, Spotify and even if you have big balls you can buy a portal very easily. This time it’s just matter of money.

Please pm me who

and what is the right way??

I also want to know. Is there any safe way to verify an existing brand account? Or is the whole verification industry shady now?

Buying PR is still considered against their policies for verification. So technically the only ‘right way’ would be to naturally become well known enough to have genuine organic press about you or your brand. Even then…you are still paying someone for portal submission so it goes against terms

And the people that don’t do it by portal? For example by a rep;

I guess that depends on the rep. If they are the type of rep to accept money for submitting people (even if not you), then all badges submitted by that rep could still be removed at some point.

It’s a lottery

Really? Even with a rep lol I thought it was better than with portals…

Well most reps don’t accept money for it, so it’s safer on the whole

Thanks bro for answering :muscle:🫡

As far as I know, a Rep also submits verification requests through a Portal they own.

So I think your being verified via a Rep is the same as being verified via a Portal.

Mmm my seller explained me that the rep; sends an email/text directly to Instagram so it’s not using a portal… maybe is not true I don’t know exactly

Your seller is partially correct.

Depending on how the Representative works, they may submit requests on your behalf through a Portal or submit them to a special email - it’s a portal email (not text). Both ways submit the case to the same place - that is the portal

My advice is to make your articles look as natural as possible - avoid categories like: paid content, sponsored content, etc… Facebook currently has a content review team (to see if the content you submit is against Facebook Media policy or not).

Have a client who lost badge and wants to be reverified. If you can assist dm me

Definitely another round of badge removals, I’m starting to see many “entrepreneurs” lose their badge this weekend.
