Got a $10k username. Can I takeover account or swap names?

Just got a good username for 10k. He is going to surrender the entire account. Wondering if I can/should:

  1. Keep the account just takeover.

  2. Change the username on the account, change the username on the desired target account, and just swap users.

Does swapping users like that work? He says its a risk of the username becoming “unavailable” but my experience with a few burner accounts and changing/exchanging their usernames successfully tell me otherwise.

I wouldn’t try to swap the users IMO if you want to be safe
