Operations

At MyWarmComfort we sell heated clothing (primarily heated jackets). We work with a Chinese supplier in Dongguan, China. We usually order a significant amount of jackets ready to be shipped to the customer in the US or Canada to ensure shipping times are acceptable and are meeting our promised deadlines. Once ordered the tracking number automatically is sent to the customer where they can essentially track their order and know when it will arrive.

The heated jacket can only be heated up using a power bank which is a huge upsell many of our customers opt in for. In fact, 90% of the customers add the power bank to their order making the average order amount 106.86$ which is fantastic.

Day to Day

All shipping is handled by CJdropshipping which is synched to Shopify all you have to do is manually sync orders every day, add them to the cart within CJ and pay for the shipping (once inventory item is deducted). Thanks to CJ you can bulk order making paying for shipping orders very simple and quick, they also hold our custom packaging with a business card included with a 20% off their next order.

You will have a dedicated agent where you would communicate on Whatsapp with any issues you encounter and they seem to be quite on the ball with things.

On a daily basis I handle customer support emails, file claims with CJ and they seem to communicate very well with the courier they work with.

Sale Trends

Heated clothing is only on demand for cold countries or seasons, therefore we tend to promote heated clothing from September to April for our US and Canadian customers. We haven’t expanded to other countries, this is something the new owner could definitely look into.

Some niches will be their all year round for example people who like to travel to cold countries, hikers, bikers, people who show interest in camping, skii resort workers, etc. The list can go on with potential niches you can target.

Growth Opportunities

If I were the new owner of this beautiful presented ecommerce store the first thing i would do is look more into Google shopping ads, Tik Tok and SEO. These are the areas we haven’t had time to cover and i think it would massively increase revenue and long-term potential to brand the site and convert into a patent product/products.

I would also research new products and dip into sub-niches such as heated canine beds, heated pillows, etc. The opportunities for this ecommerce store are endless and thanks to the website being almost fully automated you can have plenty of time to brainstorm new ideas, work with influencers and create a massive social proofing.

Customers

We currently have an email automation system via Klaviyo created by a high-end email marketing agency who specialises in clothing. They did a fantastic job to tailor emails to customers in a way they feel like they have received a unique email with a feel of urgency so they end up ordering more products, leaving reviews or giving discount codes to their loved ones.

All customers are from the USA and Canada.

To break things down for you, the future owner of this store:

The cost to buy the heated jacket is 20$, the shipping does vary but its approximately 20 - 27$ on top. So you’re looking at a profit of 30$ - 40$ per jacket, and the popular upsell of the power bank which costs 6.50$ (7$ shipping cost) to buy from the supplier and we sell them typically for 24.95$.

An average order profit for a heated jacket and a power bank is approximately 46$, I would say between 40$ and 55$ depending on shipping costs.

We also provide an extra upsell of the jacket which is also very popular and the customer would order a 2 jackets and 2 power banks maximizing profits.

Ending Summary

I’m sad to see this e-commerce store go but it’s time I let it go to someone more motivated, more open minded and with a good amount of budget to be able to dip into new niches, new products and expand the business. It’ has a huge potential and it would be awesome to see someone take over and see it grow, that would be ideal situation.
