How To Easily Copy Ticket Number For Feedback

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share with you all a quick trick to copy the ticket number super easily.

Step 1) Navigate to your ticket

Step 2) Click the URL

Step 3) Highlight ticket number inside the URL

Step 4) Copy it.

I’ve included two example videos below to demonstrate how to easily do this inside a browser like safari as well as the Gmail app.

Step By Step Below

Example 1: Safari / Browser / Chrome

Example 2: Inside Gmail app

Only difference is that if theres a browser inside another app like on gmail, then you click the safari button at the bottom to open the URL in your browser.

Then you copy the ticket number.

Hope this helps you guys out!

Anytime! Been on SWAPD for years and struggled to copy ticket number on mobile until I realized it’s in the URL haha.

Some people don’t use browser - I’d say it’s still much easier to use click that message count indicator in the bottom right, scroll insta rly to the top of the ticket, and then copy it from the checkout bot message.

@Alpha when you say not everyone uses browser, do you mean the old SWAPD app?

I dislike scrolling to the top of the ticket, but more than one way to get this done and it’s all about finding out what you like best.

Just thought I’d share my method to do this since it seems like several others have been facing a similar issue.

You don’t need to scroll. Simply click on the ticket number after opening it, and it will automatically take you to the top of the page.

No, I mean this:

It virtually functions the same as the app, and there no easily accessible URL bar. Regardless, it’s a lot easier to copy the number out of the first message of the checkout bot than it is to copy it out of the URL bar (on mobile) as it’s quite finicky. On desktop it’s great since you just double click the ticket number in the URL.

Thanks for the quick guide, and videos. Problem I was having, is that I’m not using a mobile browser to access the site. I’m using a laptop / browser to access the site, and when you access the site with Chrome, you can’t copy the ticket number from the subject… as it automatically highlights a bunch of other text along with it.

@alpha mentioned and @Brant made a visual showing another location where the ticket number is located directly in the ticket… which I will likely use from now on, as it copies normally from there. Glad to know I’m not the only person who had this problem

If you’re using a regular browser it is located in the URL - no scrolling required.

Perfect, that’s even better. I’m shocked that I didn’t notice this either, I’ve been truly slacking.

Thanks for the solution.

This trick will still work on your laptop or computer in addition to mobile like Alpha mentioned because the Ticket number is in the URL and you can copy and paste it from there.

On mobile device / app

simplest way is in the ticket click on any comment click on copy a link to this post to clipboard

paste it and remove other text
