During a heated bid war, auctions can produce many, often unwanted notifications. Auction owners will receive notifications with every new bid, and during busy auctions, such activity on your device and be cumbersome. Therefore, auction owners, along with active bidders, have the option to mute auction notifications. To mute notifications from an auction, you must:
- Navigate to the auction URL.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select Muted from the pulldown menu, as seen in the screenshot below.
That’s it. You will no longer receive live notifications from the auction. Please remember, if you set the option to muted and you’re an active auction participant, check in on the auction from time to time. Otherwise, you may forget and suffer a loss.
