Locked out of IG account but not getting security code

Hi, I got locked out of my 6 year+ old IG account due to security reasons which is bogus but hey… I had to confirm the code sent to me by email, the only problem is that I never received such a code. Does anyone know how to fix this as I am not able to lose this account

What is the provider of the email address? (Yahoo, Gmail etc.)
