I’m sure the bots will figure out how to subscribe to twitter blue to scam people at mass. Early adapters are going to scam a lot of people that are not social media savvy. I can verify an account with my bank name right now if I wanted to. Shits crazy.

This whole issue is reminiscent of Facebook’s old ‘grey mark’ verified system which was some sort of silly alternative to the Blue checkmark but just for businesses and they ended up folding it altogether with the pages that had the checkmark just having it removed and being left w/nothing.
