Almost sure they’re making some changes there and it’s being shown as unavailable right now.
Before the US update
The meta verified option was available using VPN
Now it doesn’t show up

If you click on the blue tick now you have the option to subscribe to the waitlist. Also, they added a text to inform that the account can be or not a notable one.
