Temporary Residency - Reforestation Investor Visa
To get this visa you have to invest in a government approved, qualified reforestation investment in Panama. All investments must be held for a period of 5 years to keep the residency during that term.
There are 3 ways to get Temporary Residency in Panama with the Reforestation Investor Visa.
- $80K - Temporary Residency will be valid for 5 years. No extension available.
- $100K - Temporary Residency will be valid for 2 years, than Permanent Residency is granted. Get Citizenship (passport) after 5 years having Permanent Residency.
- $350K - Permanent Residency in 30 days. Get Citizenship (passport) after 5 years having Permanent Residency.
Permanent Residency - Friendly Nations Visa
There are 50 countries who are part of the Friendly Nations who could apply for this Visa. Please send a message for the full list if you are interested in this Visa.
There are 2 ways to Permanent Residency in Panama with the Friendly Nations Visa:
- Invest into real estate worth $200K (Bank Financing is allowed)
- Have a legalized work contract with an actual operating Panamanian company. Temporary Residency will be valid for 2 years, than Permanent Residency is granted.
Permanent Residency - Self Economic Solvency Visa
There are 3 ways to get Permanent Residency in Panama with the Self Economic Solvency Visa.
- Invest into real estate worth $300K
- Invest $300K into a deposit of 3 years at a bank in Panama. Interest income is tax free. No tax authority reporting requirements.
- Combining both options where the equity and cash amount total is $300K
Panama Business Investor Visa
You will require three 2-year Temporary Residency Visas before this turns into Permanent Residency.
- Investment a minimum of $160K into a Panama business capital stock.
Panama Retired or Pensioned Program
- You must be over 18 years old
- You obtains monthly pensions or annuities of at least $1K for the rest of your life
- Married couples can combine their annuities or pensions to meet the minimum requirement
- The pensions or annuities can come from a government, military, a corporation, a bank, an insurance company, a trust, or private company
- Exception: Invest into real estate worth $100K, it lowers the monthly pensions or annuities to $750
Fast Track: Permanent Residency - Qualified Investor Visa
You will get Permanent Residency in 30 days. Get Citizenship (passport) after 5 years having Permanent Residency.
There are 3 ways to get Permanent Residency in Panama through the Qualified Investor Visa.
- Invest into real estate worth $300K (This is going up to $500K this year in August so be quick).
- Invest into the purchase of securities of the Panama Stock Market worth $500K
- Invest $750K into a deposit of 5 years at a bank in Panama. Interest income is tax free. No tax authority reporting requirements.
Italian Citizens Only: Permanent Residency
This option is only available if you are an Italian Citizen and wish to live permanently in Panama.
