Congrats Simple question. Why not use Trezor as a hardware wallet, where you can create different wallet with the same device and the most beautiful part is that you can « share » the seed key and have a clone of your Trezor if 2 differents staff member need to access the funds…? @SWAPD @Alpha
I think I mentioned before to not use exchanges but I am surprised with Binance; i guess since they got too much heat they being super strict at the moment
However admins, whoever is in charge of payments you can make the same TREZOR/Ledger backup in 2-3 locations. The only con of this is that you have to:
- Buy multiple devices (1 primary, others will be setup as backups, so use same wallet)
- You have to trust the people who keep the money.
Furthermore, regarding payments for ETHER, USDT or any other ERC20, you can use third party wallets which connect to the hardware wallet such as myetherwallet.com or mycrypto.com
I can give more suggestions/help if needed regarding any options.
Yes, we have decided to stick to cold wallets and build out our own notification system. There is no reason why any 3rd party should keep tabs on our clients funds.
As far as Paxful goes, they have stated that we were blocked because we sent BTC to Iran. I am not a crypto-expert, can someone explain to me how is this possible? How can you determine recipient location by their wallet address?
I think there is a way to track where that address was used if there were multiple transactions from that address on the blockchain. Although not entirely sure.
But it defeats the purpose of crypto and blockchain technology as its goal is to make transactions anonymous, cheaper, quicker and with less hassle.
So I think it’s one of those corporate BS lies that companies use in telling customers that we can do whatever we want.
I love Paxful’s reasoning.
“You sent 250 USD to Iran, so we’re taking 100,000 from you. Thanks.”
few days ago, i verified my account in paxful.
I’m so happy that you retrieved your funds. This just happened to me last week. I wish I read about their practices earlier. I’ve been on paxful for 2 years, just started actively trading this year. Had a total of 2 Bitcoins transferred within a 2 week span. Currently have about $58k in the account and all of a sudden, received the dreadful pink message stating that the account is frozen due to TOS blah blah blah… Any recommendations GREATLY APPRECIATED.
So sorry to hear about this, @Apuntim. From the looks of it, Paxful is pumping fake PR all over the web on how awesome they are while select-scamming their users. I would read this topic in detail and copy our steps. It will take some money to get going (AdWords), but since you’re missing 2BTC coins, I think it will be well worth it. I would even go as far as buying a domain (for example) PaxfullFraud.com, slapping WordPress on it, write your story, and then go out and tell the world. Hit up all the big cryptocurrency threads on Reddit, go and buy an AdWords spot for the word “Paxful” and actively attack them on their social media accounts.
Thank you so much for the recommendations. I am so furious after having discovered the multitude of Paxful victims out there, it’s sooo discouraging, to say the least. Paxful seems to conduct business as an unregulated entity. They definitely don’t practice what they preach and nonchalantly display their hypocrisies.
I’m grateful to have found this site ,which sadly contains the ~only~ “successful” Paxful story thus far . I will try your strategies and play by ear, as to how far I need to take this. Makes me wonder if anyone ever took legal action and prevailed. I will keep you all posted, as there most definitely will be countless desperate souls out there seeking justice as I.
Holy crap…still in the midst of plan of attack, but discovered this:

These f**kers!
Late to the party - happy to hear the good news and the support of the community
Hi there @Brant, I’m not gonna lie, after reading through the steps as @SWAPD recommended, I’m getting a bit chicken ■■■■. While it will bring some satisfaction to chew them out, I look at it as a do or die tactic (in my case). There are NUMEROUS victims of Paxful that went to the extremities to NO avail. @SWAPD was extremely fortunate (again, sooo happy for you and brought me a bit of hope).
Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t crossed this option out yet, but I have to be able to accept whichever outcome. Ironically, there’s also been a few other success stories in which they went the non-threatening route with the “boo hoo is me” approach. 🤷
However, I do feel that the “legal” tactic seems the most logical… just researching where they forgot to dot their It’s and crossed their I’s so that I have a legitimate defense. Plus, I have my fair share of judges and lawyers in my network. Will keep you posted. Thank you for checking
@Apuntim , Forget all the reasons why it won’t work and believe the one reason why it will! just do it. you will have it back
you can see that something happened to Swapd , they froze Swapd’s xxx,xxx amount! If Swapd had not done it for himself, no one would have done it so try your best to get your money back
Will it be easy ? Nope. Worth it absolutely! you can and you will!
@Brant So far, I’ve blasted their Twitter and Reddit. I will now start with the formal complaints to the correct authorities. Next, I will find a domain that includes Paxful. Fingers crossed
Do it for the people who want to see you fail I’m waiting to see that your funds are back to you
