It’s been a while since we dropped some insider news in our digest editions, so let’s get started. Unfortunately, we don’t have any exciting information, but here is what’s on our minds.
Facebook/Instagram Verifications
We’ve noticed a dramatic slowdown in FB/IG verification approvals, even from sellers with an excellent track record. We don’t know the exact cause, but in general, it seems that the press requirements have changed yet again. Virtually all Facebook and Instagram verification tickets on SWAPD are delayed, and the problem is that we don’t know when things will get back to normal. Only sure bets are getting verified, such as musicians/etc. But verification tickets that started from scratch aren’t being completed. We kindly ask all buyers for their patience. I know it’s not easy to wait, but rest assured, most service providers have no interest in delaying things. It’s social media giants who are to blame.
Warning, what’s in store this year?
Time for a little warning. Over time we have learned that February and March aren’t good months for our industry. For the past three years, major fallouts were dished out by (mainly) Facebook and Instagram. From purges, suspensions, mass deletions, checkmark removals, withheld payments, and crippling policy changes. We don’t know if we’re about to see another smackdown this year, but please be prepared for the worst, as FB and IG like to clean the house at the beginning of each year.
What’s trending on SWAPD?
Things are somewhat the same as last year, with one exception. Crypto and NFT related services are exploding, or should we say, their demand. In the past 30 days, the word “NFT” became the 3rd most searched term on SWAPD. Just two months ago, it wasn’t even in the top ten. Here are the top ten most searched for terms on SWAPD (past 30 days):

On a side note, Fanpages aren’t selling too well these days. However, Twitter accounts seem hot right now, and most of our transfer work is related to Twitter accounts. Hint for all of our resellers 
Miscellaneous News
Due to time constraints, our much-needed upgrades are being pushed back a tad (apps/website). However, we promise to get them done soon. Also, the chat feature will also be implemented in the upcoming months. Our traffic has also increased, we’re finally growing again. Last month we netted 1 700 000 page views! Other than that, there isn’t much to report on.
