SWAPD going multilingual - What are your thoughts?

Pata Nahi Kis Roop Mein Aakar Narayan Mil Jayega

I honestly think there could be better things swapd could focus on to increase their community and experience than having different languages.

Agree

More users = more revenue = more funds for expanding/features/advertising/hiring new staff.

Noobs.

Well, yes. But there are better ways to acquire users or increasing volume than offering multiple languages.

I still think if swapd would create an academy, showing people how to use Swapd as buyer or seller to make a living, this will blow the Plattform to totally another sphere.

A Ecosystem that make users better seller or buyers. And using this angle to acquire new users.

Swapd can be a blessing for some people, especially if you give them the right tools.

This is an awesome idea. @SWAPD could collaborate with users to create a course for each category

Exactly.

Also helping buyers sell more outside of swapd. By providing best practices.

Swapd is a place where people sell stuff, buddy. Not a school for learning things. What are you, a teacher in disguise? LOL.

Well, then you don’t understand swapd and the business behind it well. If you want to sell more or have more volume you need to work on things that will help you achieve that.

Having more skilled buyers/sellers will bring more money. That’s a fact.

There are people here on site, if you would show them how to sell PR from swapd properly. From A-Z. You would increase the volume by +400%/user.

And attracting new users.

I get what you’re saying, but Swapd is a marketplace, plain and simple. It’s where people come to buy and sell stuff without worrying about getting ripped off. That’s why we have so many awesome sellers here today. Turning Swapd into an academy sounds like a bad idea to me. What’s next, a Swapd theme park? A Swapd musical? A Swapd dating app?

You don’t turn swapd into an academy. It’s a feature that would increase volume. Swapd lives because there is volume. CASH. So if you want swapd to grow, you need more CASH. It’s not alive because Swapd calls itself proudly: We’re a marketplace. No one gives a ■■■■ about what you call yourself. People are here because of money and swapd too.

That’s the typical start-up mentality. They all call themselves proudly start up and founders. But they’re broke because they focus more on being a start-up creating products and offers that people don’t really need.

Implementing a feature that increases Volume (CASH) benefits everyone here and attach new people.

This isn’t an academy-related discussion, so don’t sway off the topic.

Some thoughts are that it would give us a competitive advantage over other similar forums that don’t offer multi-lingual support, and possibly broaden customer base?

Would hiring more staff affect any of the swapd fees or other member related costs?

And then of course if someone doesn’t speak English at all and they’re dealing with a foreign buyer, important details could get lost in translation in the ticket window and potentially cause complications.

Just some off the top of my head.

Integrate a translate function i.e. If someone types in Spanish, have a button that says “see translation” which then shows the text in English. Instagram does this on their comments/captions (example below)

Do some research on DeepL. It’s an AI translator, world’s most accurate translator. Better than Google.
