SWAPD has introduced a new transparency feature called SWAPD User Locations, inspired by the “About this account” functionality on X.
This feature is designed to provide users with additional context when interacting with others on the platform, while maintaining appropriate privacy and trust protections for higher tier members.
What Is SWAPD User Locations
SWAPD User Locations displays two location indicators directly on a user’s profile page and user card:
- Country of Registration – the country where the account was originally created
- Current Login Country – the country from which the user is currently accessing SWAPD
This information helps users better assess account history, consistency, and potential risk signals during interactions and transactions.
Who This Feature Applies To
SWAPD User Locations is visible for the following member groups:
- Safety Concern Members
- Regular Members
- Premium Members
- VIP Members
The feature is not displayed for the following groups:
- Diamond Club
- Millionaire Club
- SWAPD Partners
These exclusions are intentional and reflect the higher trust, verification, and long standing relationship associated with these tiers.
Where the Information Appears
The location indicators appear in two places:
- On the user profile page
- On the user card shown when hovering over or clicking a username
The data is displayed in a clear, non intrusive format and updates automatically based on login activity.
Why This Feature Exists
SWAPD User Locations was introduced to:
- Improve transparency and user awareness
- Help identify unusual account behavior
- Provide additional context during negotiations and transactions
- Align with modern platform trust standards
This feature is informational only and does not affect a user’s trust level, permissions, or ability to transact.
Privacy and Accuracy Notes
- Location data is derived from account and login information and may be affected by VPNs or travel
- The feature does not display precise locations, IP addresses, or personal data
- SWAPD does not guarantee absolute accuracy of login location data
